What sports can young kids play and understand?

I’m a sports counselor at a day for kids grades K-8. Any suggestions for the little little kid groups? The kindergarteners are always the toughest to choose a sport to play because they are so small and young.

Kickball is fun and entertaining to that age group. Plus, it’s an easy game to learn even if you’re 5.

    -Kickball.
    -Four corners.
-Chinese handball. (Divide an area in half using tape or something. Put 2 kids on each side of the line. Decide with team will get the ball first. They will bounce the ball once on the ground, then hit it over the line to the other team using their hand. The other team let it bounce, then hit it back. It’s alot like tennis – only one bounce on the ground after each hit, and they can only hit the ball using their hands. You get points when the opponent hits the ball on the divider, after you hit the ball over and it bounces once and the team misses it (it goes off the court), or the other team lets it bounce more than once on their side.)

Crab ball — kids walk like a crab (hands behind them, feet in front, stomach up) and have them circle up — keep kicking the giant ball in the middle

    Kickball

    T-ball (who cares if they run 3 – 2 – 1 – home, it’s fun)

Catch (partner up and see how many feet away from one another)

Gymnastics (kart wheel, round off, summer salt, run and jump off spring board)

In my family we play sports every saturday morning before the kids have their own games. I have 5 kids ages 4-12 so the games we play must be simple.
t-ball (softball for my 2 older boys)
    kickball
    frisbee
    soccer
    tennis
    bad mitten
tag-if that counts as a sport
    four square
