What is "Fantasy Sports" and how do you participate and why is it in the sports section?

This seems to be more of an internet game than any real sports game. Is armchair spots really a sport or a game? Shouldn’t Chess be put into the Sports Category, after all it is a sport, isn’t it?
Its in sports becasue its is fantasy sports. period. You draft a team of players at the beginning of the year. Based on how well they do each week you get points. They call it a fantasy team because your team is made up of players from all different teams. Each week you play another team of players, who ever accumulates the most points wins. then there is playoffs for the last two or three weeks of the season.

Its really just a name for a group of people who put their tips in on whatever game they are playing, whether it be the afl, nrl etc., on who is going to win, nothing really special about it and I prefer to do the tipping for myself, not in a group
