What color sports jacket and pants should I wear to match my date’s turquoise and royal blue dress?

March 28, 2011 - 4:44 am 2 Comments

Her dress is turquoise on the top (bodice) and navy or royal blue bottom. What is a good color sports jacket and pants to wear? I will be wearing a turquoise tie. Thanks!

blues are pretty hard to match up exactly, and you have the turquoise tie, and a black sport jacket and pants, with a white shirt would be the best to set off your tie and her dress..or a grey jacket, and pants, because with her dress being two toned, and blue, if you mix different color pants and jacket, i don’t think the look would be as good, unless her dress were all the same color blue.

What color sports jacket and pants would match a turquoise and navy blue dress for my semiformal?

The dress is turquoise top with sequins (bodice) and the bottom is navy blue. I need a sports jacket and pants but not a suit. What is a good color combination?

You can never go wrong wearing black!
It’s now spring, you can even wear white. It is the new black again. Goes well with turquoise & navy.

What sports were played or invented during the renaissance?

March 22, 2011 - 6:52 am 2 Comments

Plain and simple. I just want to know what sports were played during the renaissance in Europe. Preferably Italy or the rest of Europe.

In Italy, more specifically in Florence, a sport today known as an "ancestor" of both football (soccer) and rugby was popular and today still celebrated.

A small sports car and a pickup truck start coasting down a 10.7 m hill together, side by side?

The mass of the sports car is 650 kg and the mass of the pickup truck is 1300 kg (twice the mass of the sports car). Assuming no friction or air resistance, what is the kinetic energy of each vehicle at the bottom of the hill?
What is the kinetic energy of the sports car?

What is the difference between sky sports 1 and 2 for the world cup cricket?

March 3, 2011 - 9:54 pm 2 Comments

I want to watch the world cup cricket on sky sports. What is the difference between sky sports 1 and 2? I am asking as it is obviously more expensive to get both.
Should I get both if I don’t want to miss a match or is everything going to be broadcast on sky sports 1. Does sky sports 1 normally carry the more important live event and 2 is used for the secondary sport? Like if there is golf and cricket on at the same time. All sounds to me as if sky did this to make more money out of sport deprived souls stuck on Freeview or Freesat.

Most of the Cricket World Cup matches are on Sky Sports 1, however if there is live Premier League football or another big match then the cricket does get moved to Sky Sports 2. Also when there are two matches on the same day which overlap the lesser match can be followed using the red button service.

Is being involved in Sports really that important to Universities when you apply?

February 25, 2011 - 3:53 pm 4 Comments

Because I haven’t been involved in any sports team or extracurricular activity involving sports, and I keep on reading that they look for that. Is it really that important?

Hi Nina

We like to see sports/team activities. Marching band is just as good.

However, I cannot think of any time that we ever rejected an application because of failure to participate in organized team sports. 4 years of a useful foreign language is more important, by far.

Malaysia! How can sport fans play a role in determining who the sports officials are?

January 20, 2011 - 8:28 am 2 Comments

It appears the sports officials from Badminton and Karate are flexing their muscles against their players and coaches. The fans know, the players are motivated by their coaches and not any of their management officials. The players and lower ranking coaches only kow tow to them because of the strong power they yield in their position. Its time the Sports minister kicks out all these political related management officials and place professionals for the future of Malaysian sports to ever reach and maintain international standards. These officials are making a mockery out of sports and its sportsperson. Politics out – Professionals In or Mediocre standard In – International Standard out. Choose. The players should unite and kick these officials out or protest and don’t participate. There must be some sacrifices or our sports will either go down the hill or teams will get sacked like what’s happening in Singapore. Disgusting officials.
Yes I am, but I am referring to Badminton and Karate for now. Not the disgraceful sepak takraw team.

—arent you the guy who asked abt sepak takraw…?

What sports are good before joining a military branch?

December 10, 2010 - 12:51 am 6 Comments

So you probably know from my questions, I want to be in the Marines. I use to play sports, football for 2 years. Then I quit. Should I sign up for football again? I wanna get in shape. Another sport I wanna try out is Karate. I never tried it but it looks really fun. But i dont know if its a sport. And wrestling, I hate it. Never liked it. So which do you think is bettar, Football or Karate?

Both would be good in physical conditioning. I would say the ideal would be karate with maybe cross-country or track with a good regiment of weight lifting. I imagine this would put you in perfect cardiovascular and strength condition, and karate would offer mental discipline and attentiveness.

What race dominates more sports, considering every single professional and Olympic sport?

December 1, 2010 - 11:36 pm 5 Comments

We often hear from other homies or liberals that we dominate sports (African Americans) , but guys i had a long conversation last night which opened my eyes . Other than basketball, some positions in American football and some running events , what other sports do we dominate massively? There are so many sports, hundreds probably, how did this propaganda started? Aren’t whites a minority worldwide, so how do they dominate all these sports and none talks about it?

A good 80% of sports worldwide are white dominated and Olympics is the proof, so the whole black domination sports thing it can’t be nothing more than a joke or stereotype!
