What are the health benefits between margarine and butter?

November 23, 2009 - 2:34 am 4 Comments

I currently use margarine, but I have been hearing some bad stuff about it. I am thinking about switching to butter, but would like to know the health benefits between them both. Which one is better for you?

Butter contains Vitamin A, and not all the preservatives and artificial ingredients in margarine. But, butter also contains alot of fat & cholesterol. If you don’t have a problem with that, the taste is much better than margarine. The only benefit to margarine is for people with dietary concerns (and it’s cheaper)

What kind of jobs are there out there that are in the sports industry not including the likes of professional footballers, tennis players etc. As I am looking for my career choice before I finish my sports course in college. Thank you.

aerospace engineering and dynamics for track, swimming, drag racing and formula 1. or chemical engineering for football to make helmets and equipment lighter and stronger. how about being a trainer to help teams.

How do I start to workout when my fitness level is Zero?

November 20, 2009 - 11:47 pm 4 Comments

I’m not seriously overweight, only a little but I have zero endurance and a horrible fitness level. I’m winded after walking short distances. How do I even begin to start working out when I get worn out so fast. I really want to be healthy but I feel like working out for 10 mins because I get seriously out of breath won’t cut it. I’ve also been to the doctor and he said I’m healthy so its not medical.

Its really about getting used to it. I used to take a class that would wear me out before I finished it. Now, the class is so easy that I don’t take it anymore. It took about a month to get through it without feeling exhaused, and every time I went to class it got easier. Just take a class every day and do what you can. Tell the instructor that you are new (they usually ask who is new), and they give advice, just keep moving. All you can do is to stay with the class, don’t leave early and keep pushing yourself. I’ve been at my gym almost 3 yrs. There are girls that look the same now as they did then because they don’t try. My body has improved so much since I joined because I make good food choices, I stop eating when full, if I crave something I get a small version, and I work out daily. You can do this too. I am 5′5 and weigh 112 lbs, and I’m 42 yrs. old. Good luck.

Will the health care reform that is going on make prescription drugs more affordable?

November 20, 2009 - 11:47 pm 2 Comments

The new health care legislation that is in the works—-it seems like many more Americans will have some kind of health insurance with this new legislation. I really don’t know what to believe.

Will this new legislation help to make prescription drugs more affordable? I’ve been buying prescription drugs from Canada for a long time (cause many are cheaper there) but maybe I’ll be able to buy them here now in USA per health care reform?

Thanks!

i don’t think that the health care reform will assist you on making your drugs more affordable, but that’s just my opinion. but what i do know is that the reform will cut down the cost of your health bills such as going to the doctor because of an injury. i don’t know a lot about the reform but i hope that this will help you, if it were me i would just continue to purchase from Canada.

Is there a way to legally buy HGH online, or at least a close substitute?

November 20, 2009 - 11:47 pm 2 Comments

I work out a lot, and I know HGH can help with muscle production. I’m not looking for steroids - just legal HGH or something with similar effects.

How will health care be affected by legalizing marijuana?

November 17, 2009 - 11:06 pm 10 Comments

Hey everyone. I need help on answering this question: How will health care access, cost, and quality be affected by the passage or defeat of a bill legalizing marijuana. The bill is AB 390, but i just need some answers on the affect of health care by legalizing marijuana or not. I’ve done some research but I need a little more. Thanks.

If marijuana was made legal and the government produced and taxed it, the revenue could cover a huge portion of the health care budget. The government could mass produce many different types of weed and at such a low cost because the ‘danger’ aspect would be non-existent; then then they could tax it heavily and make it cost the same it does now plus make billions a year that could be used to support health care. Not only that but it would save the DEA and many police forces and other government agencies billions just in time spent and effort wasted arresting harmless weed smokers. In New York city in 2008 it cost them 90 million dollars to arrest and detain people possessing minor amounts of weed and I can think of many better uses for that kind of money, one of them being health care.

There wouldn’t be more people using if it was made illegal because if people want to smoke weed they are going to do so anyways, but I major difference could be that less young people would smoke it because if it was legal it would be a less ‘rebellious’ drug.

Instead the USA has treated marijuana the same way they treat most things; by declaring war on it, hence the War on Drugs.

How much money does the average person make in sports marketing?

November 17, 2009 - 11:06 pm 1 Comment

I will receive my bachelors in sport management from Ohio University with a minor in business and am looking to find a job in a sport marketing firm primarily in Chicago or a large city. I am interested in working in marketing or sponsorship and want to focus more on business rather than sports if that makes any sense. I am looking to work in the highest paid part of the sports industry but am not quite sure if sports marketing is it. Also, if any one knows any great sport marketing firms please list. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Im doing a degree in marketing and we were told theres big monry in sports sponsorship, starting at about €50,000 per year!

When is a good age to start using anti-aging skin products?

November 15, 2009 - 2:14 am 3 Comments

I’m only 25 and I defiantly don’t look old, but i’m starting to notice some things different and not in a good way. I just want something as a preventative measure. So i’m just curious at age 25 what anti-aging products would be good. I have fair, combination skin and still break out pretty regularly. Also I already use sunscreen every day. Thank you for any input!
Any suggestions on products, certain ingredients or regimens would be appreciated.

you should have started when you were 20, but its not too late. i can’t suggest many products, but i know olay is very good. i highly recommend buying an eye cream.

What is a good fitness bar to eat after a workout?

November 15, 2009 - 2:14 am 5 Comments

My workout routine usually consists of running 1.5 miles and doing different types of weight training. I wanting to lose 10-12 pounds that I have put on after entering college, but this has been a very hard task for me thus far. So…I’m looking for a good fitness bar to eat after I workout to help me with my weight loss process. Thanks for any advice.

Askmen.com recommends Cliff bars. There are multiple varieties, including high-protein (although what you need most for recovery are carbs to restore muscle glycogen).

Askmen.com also rates chocolate milk as the #1 recovery food, if taken soon after the conclusion of the workout.

As for me, I stick to a homemade shake with water and soy milk, protein powder, fruit, raw cocoa, brewer’s yeast, and flax meal.
